(Nee Becker) Age 91. Passed away on June 24, 2010, in Tucson AZ. Beloved wife of the late Robert Zien. Loved mother of Fran Pakenham, Herbert (Elizabeth Levins) Zien, Howard (Marjorie) Zien and Donald (Jane) Zien. Sister of the late Dr. Gerald (June) Becker. Survived by grandchildren Michael (Christie Chun) Yampol, Todd (Hiromi) Yampol, David (Tiffany) Yampol, Katherine Zien, Charles Zien, Hanna Zien, Ethan Zien, Carly Zien and Jacob Zien, and great-granddaughter Maya Rose Yampol.

Blanche was passionate and committed to her immediate family as well as her brothers and sistersin-law, nieces and nephews. Though never having attended college, she was quite intellectual and conversant on a wide range of contemporary issues. She had a devoted circle of close friends with whom she maintained contact, even when they were thousands of miles away. Both relatives and friends frequently sought out and benefited from her counsel. She set standards and values that have influenced three generations of children and grandchildren, and through them their children's children.

Funeral services 10:00 AM Friday, July 2, 2010, at Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, 2020 West Brown Deer Road, River Hills. Interment Second Home Cemetery, 3705 S. 43 St., Milwaukee.

Dear father of Fran (Tom) Pakenham of Tucson, AZ, Herb (Liz Levins) Zien of Bayside, Howard (Marjorie) Zien of New York, NY and Don (Jane) Zien of Fox Point. Loving grandfather of Michael, David and Todd Yampol; Katie and Charlie Zien; Carly and Jake Zien; Hanna and Ethan Zien. Dear brother of Edward (Charlotte) Zien, Betty (Phil) Croen, Janet (Ernie) Wintroub, Alan (Ditty) Zien and the late Burton (Betty) Zien. Bob and his brothers, over a period of 35 years, built a small plumbing company into one of the leading mechanical contracting business in Wisconsin.
